Christian Classics Book Group
Our group meets Mondays at noon to discuss books on Christianity, religion, and spirituality. Beginning on March 5, we will be reading, “Muhammad: a Prophet for Our Time”, by Karen Armstrong. Copies of the book are available in the library and new members are always welcome! Bring a bag lunch; coffee and tea are served.

Food for Thought Book Group
At 5:45 PM we will have a light meal and the discussion will start at 6:00 PM.

Our book for March 1 is the Pen/Faulkner Award for Fiction, “The Hours” by Michael Cunningham. This intriguing novel is comprised of the stories of three women living decades apart yet linked together through Virginia Woolf and as she begins to write her novel, “Mrs. Dalloway”. Cunningham weaves the separate stories together with a surprising twist to unite them at the end of novel.

In observance of Holy Thursday on April 5, our next book discussion group will be meeting on March 29 to discuss a new updated translation of “Night” by Nobel laureate Elie Wiesel. Wiesel’s horrific memories of his family’s death and his incarceration in concentration camps during World War II challenge his faith in God and address what the Holocaust was and what its legacy will be. Copies are available in the library.

Soup & Psalms
This group meets from 6:00 to 7:00 PM every Tuesday from September to May. A basic meal of soup and bread is served and we pray psalms and briefly discuss them. We will go through the psalms sequentially.

JOHN P. WEBSTER GALLERY

We are pleased to be the gallery of choice for her second exhibit.
