Under the bequest of Florence S. Crofut, the John P. Webster Library strives to be an outstanding New England church library. We are dedicated to supporting individuals and congregations as they seek to minister with commitment and creativity in an increasingly challenging world. We hold a specialized collection of resources in Christian theology, world religions, spirituality, church organization, diversity, and local history. We are open to the general public and are available to assist ministers, Christian educators, Sunday School teachers, researchers, and other "seekers" in finding resources to enhance understanding in these and related areas. Our library contains over 10,000 volumes, 500 videos and DVDs, 60 theological journals, audio books, maps, sacred music, and a children and youth section. Dear visitors... our website usage statistics show an average of about 25 visits per day. Please help us learn more about who we are serving by filling out this brief form. Thanks so much!
In case of snow or other bad winter weather, the library will close when the West Hartford public schools close. If the schools are closed for a full day, so will we be; if they close early, so will we. Thank you for your understanding!
